Intimidating to women

I conducted an informal (and utterly unscientific) poll on the Dr.Nerd Love Facebook Page, trying to get a handle on what guys mean. So let’s take a look at what men say is intimidating… Men can find beauty intimidating; the more attractive the woman, the more advantages society gives her.As a fan of her show, I was eager to see her voice back in the trenches of political dialogue on panel. It was clear that hers is a necessary voice in media, and I relived my disappointment over the cancellation of her show. She's competed in 11 marathons, runs her own consulting firm and is working on her Ph. "You would think these are qualities men would like — and most [men] say they do—but sooner or later, I feel like they begin feeling inferior or inadequate as a man or breadwinner." Christine isn't alone in her frustration. Christine recalls, "I recently had a male friend tell me, ' Chris, men just want a woman who's going to be home and be a great wife and mother. Look at you, you're going 100 mph all the time, no guy wants that.'""I am attractive, in gosh-darn good shape, fun, great sense of humor, full of energy and life, smart and ambitious," says Christine.I bought in to the false idea that ‘men commit to women who are better; women who are achievers’ – which leads to the reality that; As women, our appeal to men in a relationship has nothing to do with how much we achieve; it has everything to do with our soul; and our heart as a woman.

She has a job she loves that pays good money, money that she likes to spend on her geeky hobbies and toys. – she hears the same thing over and over again: “You’re too intimidating…” Does this sound familiar to you? In fact, going by the number of emails I get from my readers, it’s most common issue that geek (or geek-curious) women encounter when they’re interested in dating.

But still, I found myself very aware of her choice in costume — it took up about as much of my mental space as my absorption of the words she was speaking.

And since I was on the brink of a summer during which I would be promoting a film I directed called her at the same time?

Perry had recently left her show on MSNBC, an essential hour of viewing in an otherwise bland cable-news landscape, under controversial circumstances.

Harris-Perry’s desire to incorporate substantive discussions on race were met with resistance by the network, who wanted her to instead focus on the sensational aspects of the presidential primaries.

I know why this dual sensory experience is so hard for us when we are confronted with a women in a position of power and authority — there simply are not many models on which to draw.
